DIY: Thankful Turkeys

We teamed up with Calynn, the mama behind @brynnnora, to bring you a fun and sweet Thanksgiving DIY!

As the mom to 2 little girls, Brynn and Nora, Calynn is always coming up with creative ways to celebrate the holidays with her girls. Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for what we have and this DIY is the perfect way to instill gratitude in your little ones!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Piece of cardboard
Colored paper for the feathers
Glue
Pencil
Marker
Googly eyes
Scissors
Tinsel star wire for extra sparkle (optional)

STEP ONE:
Assemble the turkey! Draw the turkey's head/body with pencil and cut out. Draw one feather and use to trace for all feathers needed. Cut small triangle for beak.

STEP TWO:
Glue beak and googly eyes on.

STEP THREE:
Have your child tell you or write themselves what they are thankful for on the feathers.

STEP FOUR:
Attach feathers to cardboard with glue and add tinsel star wire for extra sparkle!

Although 2020 has been quite the year, there's always something to be thankful for! We'd love to know, what are you grateful for this year? Share in the comments below!
